A little fun with the EOS 6D Wi-Fi.

To the unaware, one of the features of the EOS 6D uncommon to other dSLRs is the built in Wi-Fi and GPS modules. One of the funnest things I’ve come across so far is the Canon EOS Remote app available on iOS and Android. Given the direction that some other companies are going along with this camera released from Canon, I’m inclined to think that “smart” dSLRs will be somewhere on the horizon whether they are mirrorless or not. This following photo is the first of many of me messing around with this feature.

Imagine if I tried this on a roller hockey rink when I was a kid

Nail Yakupov celebrates after scoring a game tying goal with 4 seconds left in the 3rd period. The Edmonton Oilers would go on to win in overtime against the LA Kings.

The game was a nail biter and easily the most entertaining game of the season so far. There were a few questionable calls, but the game ended dramatically (in a good way). Here’s a some highlights of the game yesterday.

Anyway, be sure to tune into Planetside 2’s twitch stream tonight for the Ultimate Empire Showdown. My outfit, the 666th Devil Dogs, will be part of the majority of the NC command squad and we will be fighting on our home server against representatives from all the factions.

PS. The showdown will end just in time for the home opener of the Ducks v. Canucks game. Go Ducks!

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim > Anaheim Ducks. Just sayin’.

Can’t stop clicking refresh on My Orders tab.

I’ve been spoiled by Amazon’s quick processing and shipping. I decided to order from B&H photo for the first time and it’s significantly slower in processing times, but I guess you can’t beat the $200 dollar savings on sales tax. I’d rant more about that, but that’s for a topic I don’t wish to delve into. 😛

In the mean time, I’d like to share a video created with the Canon EOS 6D along with a variety of L lenses showcasing the capabilities of the camera. Too bad there’s nothing in here that addresses the moire issue I heard about.
